The Christmas Wish

Father:

If there was granted just one simple wish for me.....

I would want it to be a seed of hope so true

Something that would bloom for others so perfectly

and make each day of their life inspiring and new.

The Guiding Star

     Do you ever get the feeling that sometimes you are in another universe?  You don't quite fit in to peoples ideals.  You can't get all of the pieces to fit in to place and trying to just seems even more impossible.
     You can't figure any thing out and get a head ache attempting to do so.  But, here is the simple solution.  Change the word 'me' in your equation to 'thee'.  What?
     Everything in your life equation sums up to all things that you have tried. It has not worked.   Why try to figure out the directions when you have a beautiful guiding star?
     First, remember this fact.  You are a part of another universe.....God's universe.  You do not have to 'measure up' to any one else's ideals but his.  You simply have to pray and then let him fit every piece into place and guide every step.
     How amazing is that to your heart?  Simply repeat this genuine prayer:  Father:  I have tried with all of my might to live according to my will and way.  It is not working.  I want to rededicate my life to you and ask you to be Lord of my life and my every thing.  Please guide every step and be my guiding star.  Amen.
     Now, sit back and listen for his amazing voice in your heart.  Follow your beautiful guiding star today.  You can never find a better guide.

     In today's world, it is very easy to feel a sense of pain and hurt inside.  Perhaps someone said something to you or treated you rather poorly.  Maybe it was a boyfriend or girlfriend who, after showing you interest and being there for you, decided to move on.

     Whatever the scenario may be, you were left feeling a sense of worthlessness.  It broke your heart and your spirit.  But, as imperfect human beings, we are vulnerable to such emotions that can tear us apart inside and destroy our joy.

     But, it is at that point when your Creator's heart begins to weep.  He is right there, feeling every emotion and pain every moment of the way.  He then comes down and wraps his loving arms of mercy and love around you and gives you a breathtaking peace.

     He begins to start the healing process.  There are so many wonderful sources of strength that one can rest in and rebuild upon.  These include:  prayer, the kindness of a dear friend, church family, family and of course God.

     Take your friend, kneel together and have a time of prayer and agreement.  But, remember, healing begins at the point of forgiveness and grace.  The other person(s) is not perfect.  Your healing can only begin at the point when you forgive them and give them the grace of understanding.

     Remember, don't let anything have a strong hold in your system but that which comes from God.  He is always there when you call upon him

The Thankful Heart

     So, what does the word Thanksgiving really mean?  It is not the starting line for the holiday shopping season!  Instead, it is a beautiful status of the heart that should be strong and nurtured all year long.

     Take a moment to try a little exercise.  Go out and get a small pad of paper and a pen or pencil.  Place the following title at the top of the first page:  "The Beautiful Blessings That I am Thankful For".

     Now, on the next line, place the following words:  "Thank you so much, Father, for:"  Next, begin to make a numbered list of every thing that you are thankful for both large and small.

     Remember to include everything, not just the most obvious ones.  Take a look at the list every time that you add to it.  Make it as long as it needs to be.  Throughout each day of the year, this will be your challenge to recite this prayer of Thanksgiving at least once a day.

     There may be days when you feel like you are walking a tight rope.  This is especially the case in today's world.  But, try this exercise instead of complaining or feeling down.  See what a difference that it can make in your own daily life.

     Remember, God is in control.  You never need to worry or fear.  Count all of the good things with genuine hope, and know that the tight rope will become a line of promise.  

     Please give the exercise a try.  It is then on the one day a year Thanksgiving holiday that you can further share your love with others.....God's amazing love!  You can brighten someone else's heart.  So, don't worry about shopping season.  But, instead, make it a sincere season of difference!

Suddenly, there was a brilliant, bright light

On Thanksgiving, great humanity lives

as we see our family and friends so dear.

Every year an extra chair will be set

Light Of The Heart

     Please take a moment and think about the unbelievable power of one word..faith.  Sometimes it can be a difficult word to genuinely define.  Sure, we know that it means believing in God.  However, there's a lot more strength and depth to it than that.

     Consider what a marathon runner must do to prepare for a big event.  They have to make sure that they are prepared for the challenging journey ahead.  The same is true for our own hearts.

     We live in a cold, and impersonal world.  We have to face or will face a variety of real human feelings:  fear, anger, loneliness, uncertainty, etc.  Yet, faith is our cloak of protection.  It is a beautiful gift from God's heart of grace that we don't have to be alone.

     Our Father is in control.  Yet, there is an open avenue by God's perfect presence where much needed healing and peace may begin.  So, try not to let yourself be overwhelmed by such world induced factors that will destroy your tranquility.

     Simply take God's hand and let him instruct you on how to repair any broken pieces.  Look at everything with a sense of endurance and courage.  Ask the Lord for his great wisdom on what to do and how to do it.

     You never have to feel inadequate.  Enjoy the beauty of the gift of life that God has given to you.........stress free and filled with his love, happiness, and blessing.

     Have you ever watched someone mistakenly step on a beautiful flower?  Sometimes that is exactly how we feel when we get crushed by the travels of life.  Maybe it was a love one that was lost.  Perhaps it was a heartfelt love that was not returned.

     One thing that we can definitely agree upon.....life is hard.  We have all be 'crushed' in one way or another and by some degree or another.  But, please take a moment to consider this point.

     When a rose is crushed, it produces its greatest fragrance.  Grapes are crushed to make the most delicate wines.  There are many things that when 'broken down' from its original form become stronger and more dynamic than ever.

     The same can be said in our own lives.  We are God's precious children.....his instruments of hope and promise.  Whenever we get 'broken down' by things in life, God takes the pieces and begins the redesign process to make a masterpiece that is so spectacular, it cannot even be imagined!

     Do you feel broken down and crushed?  When you do, don't despair!  The master craftsman is on the job.  Simply fall to your knees in prayer and give all of the pieces to him.

     Stand back!  You will be amazed at the creative genius that begins to unwind.  Do not consider imperfection a flaw.  It is a mound of precious clay that the Potter uses to begin his masterful work.

     Observe and learn with amazement.  Look at the beautiful fragrance and awesome handiwork that comes from the Lord's heart!  Rejoice and be glad!!  He loves and adores you!!  

     HE IS ON HIS THRONE!  EVERY THING IS IN HIS HANDS!  HE WILL TAKE CARE OF YOU!  GOD BLESS YOU ALL!

     Why should you ever have to 'measure up' to anyone?  You were designed to be you - God's beautiful child.  He knows everything that you need before you need it:  your soulmate, job, friends, etc.

 

     So, why worry?  Why let other people and factors degrade your happiness and the wonderful person that God means for you to be?  Let it go now, and begin a new journey.  Let the master artistan continue to build you and shape you into something more beautiful and exquisite than ever.

 

     Here is the greatest message possible.  Let God write your life description.  Now, that's what they call award winning writing and reading!!!!!
