As I take each step throughout the hours of the day,
Let the power of your love and grace completely cover me
Like a beautiful light of sweet protection to guide my way
and keep me safe and within your care wherever I may be.

I may not know everything or what things hold

  Okay, so here is an important question to consider.  If things don't always seem to go just the way you planned, what is your response?  Do you become upset and angry?  Do you feel like giving up or throwing a fit?

  So, we have to admit that we are human.  Emotions are a very real part of who we are.  That's not really an excuse but simply an explanation.  This is a trying world that we live in.  It can get to the core of our humanity in so many ways.

  But, consider this scenario for a moment.  Suppose you wanted to put up a light post in your front yard.  You want it to stand up firmly for a long time.  So you would put cement in the hole not oatmeal?  

  If we want to stand up and be a light in the dark world we live in we have to put God's presence and love in every part of our being.  This way when the element try to attack we will still stand strong and tall.

  God's presence within you causes you to be the victor.  So when your emotions get the best of you turn that Jesus light up brighter.  The Father will take care of it all and give you more happiness than ever imagined!

Have you ever watched the moment when a young child tries to take its first steps?  They are not totally aware of the meaning of it all.  Yet they get up take a few steps and fall.

But then a parent comes and picks them up.  They open their arms wide and protect and guide the child as he tries again.  This time he has a little more of a strong and assured foundation.

Can we apply this scenario to our everyday lives?  We face hard and difficult situations where we can't see an answer or solution.

We fall agonize and are ready to give up.  But it is at that very last moment when hope's most beautiful light comes in.

The Lord lifts us up puts us back on our feet and protects and guides us to victory. 

So don't jump out of the life boat just yet.  Be of good courage.  The Master will bring victory.

Awesome Revelations

     Can you stop for a moment and imagine what pure, genuine love really is?  I am not talking about the definition that we might produce in our own human context.  Think about a love that is so pure, so powerful, and unbreakable.

     It can never be shaken or destroyed.  It grows stronger and more breathtakingly beautiful.  Now consider where this love comes from.  It comes from a wondrous heart that is so big, so giving, and kind.

     I am talking about a Heavenly Father who loves His children with a love that even the human mind cannot fathom.  You are His beloved child.  You are so precious and adored by Him.

     He has given you the gifts of salvation and grace so that you might be forgiven and set free.  So, here is the question to consider.  How can you feel like you have no purpose or meaning?  If you ever feel that way stop.

     You are royalty.  You are the child of the King of Kings.  He has everything in the palm of His hands.  His arms are outstretched to guide you through your journey like a new dad guiding a child to walk.

     Walk on with great strength, hope and confidence.  Your Heavenly Father loves you so much.  Together, nothing is impossible.

When I Face Fear

When I face fear my heart is frozen in time,
It fractures my spirit with its powerful hold
My soul yearns for peace but gets great stress in kind
I long for something better to unfold.

Suddenly a beautiful light surrounds me
I feel like a weight is being taken away
You come in with a hope and joy so perfectly
and show me there will be a much brighter day.

You tell me everything will be ok now
You are protecting me and covering me with love

Have you ever been on a relatively unfamiliar pathway and suddenly found yourself at a crossroads?  This statement can be interpreted in two contexts.  First, it can be interpreted as when you travel.  The second can be interpreted by what scenarios you encounter.

Well, in your own mind you may seem 😕 confused and indecisive.  That is understandable for any of us.  In our own humanity we are imperfect.  We can't see logical solutions.

But, take a moment to consider this point.  If ever we want to discover something new like an auto repair we consult a manual.

Well in this case the best manual is available the word of God.  It is a lifeline to the Father's heart and wisdom.  The second part of that manual is prayer.

When we connect to the Father in such a way it is like a beautiful lighthouse guiding our 🚶 steps.

He is our Father.  He holds tomorrow.  Why not invest in the greatest life manual you can imagine!

Consideration

     Ok, so here is an interesting question to consider.  If someone gave you a million dollars, what would you do with it?  Well, I guess we all can come up with a variety of different answers.

     But, if we stop and think for a moment, perhaps that field of responses would narrow significantly.  If we knew that someone had a great need, wouldn't we help them?

     The majority of us deep within our hearts would answer a resounding 'yes'.  The greatest blessing is to use the gifts that you are given to help other lives.

     Ok so here is something else to consider.  Someone has given you something that is priceless.  It has a worth a hundred billion times greater than a million dollars.

     Wouldn't you whole-heartedly accept something like that?  I am talking about the gift of salvation and eternal life from the Lord.  When you accept this special gift and his love, and then use it to bless others you are blossoming the growth of his love more within you.

     So take your very special and priceless gift and use it to bless others today.  You'll be very glad you did.

Okay here is an odd question.  Do you remember what it was like at Christmas time when you were a kid?

The tree was all decked out in the most beautiful lights and ornaments.  There were colorful boxes all aligned around its base.

Now you were so curious about the mystery.  Now think about a relationship with and living for the Lord.

There is beauty uniqueness and the color of joy called love.  But there is a sense of mystery wonder and surprise that brings a beautiful light to life.

So thank God for His salvation.  There is no better gift!

How Much Can One Person Do?

A lot of people may ask that very question.  How can I make a significant difference in my world? Many may feel that it doesn't truly matter.  But if you look across the pages of time that is not the case.

Take a moment to examine your own life.  Think of things that have made your world a little better. 

Maybe someone held the door open for you.  Once you felt better then perhaps you were able to spread the goodness.

It's like a seed planted by God's hands that has eternal yielding results.  God creates us to be unique and special individuals and in His image.

What better way to make a difference than to spread the precious love of God.  Can one person make a difference?

You sure can!

The Passage Of Time

Okay, here is an odd question.  If you could describe time, how would you do it?  Time is precious and fragile like a beautiful stained glass picture window.  Yet, it is rapid and dissolvable like the wind.

Have you ever wondered how quickly the year seems to pass by?  It seems like we are celebrating the holidays one minute.  Before you know it, it is that time of year again.

Life is a precious and fragile gift from God's heart of love.  Every moment is like a breathtaking story ready for the Master Artist's next words.

But none of us know how long our unique play will be.  So why worry or be fearful?  Why be stressed?

Make the most of your precious gift.  Do kind and courteous things for others.  Tell those you adore how much you love them.

Count the numerous blessings that God has given you.  Thank Him for always being there.

Consideration

We are all unique individuals created by an awesome God.  He loves us so much and has given us the precious power of free will.  This means one of two things.

We can have good, wholesome thoughts about who we are and the world around us.

We can also have negative thoughts about everything.  Well let's break this issue down some.  It starts with where we see ourselves.

We are children of the most high God.  He created each one of us with such beauty and detail.  So our definition should be found in Him.

Now since He is the author of the universe and we are His how can we harbor anything negative?

Walk with your head held high.  Think the best thoughts always.  Your Father is right beside you.  He has you in the palms of His hands!

Consideration

So here is an important question to consider.  What do you do on those days when you feel like nothing is right?  You feel worthless and in some sense useless.

But take a moment to consider something.  If you had no importance you wouldn't be here.

You say well I don't see anything worth mentioning.  Sometimes in our own narrow vision we can't see true value.

But we have to rest in the love of the Lord and His awesome wisdom.  He knows our purpose.

So when there's not much sunshine hang out and smile.  The Son will see you through.

A Searching Heart

Have you ever had one of those days when you wonder ed why you even got out of bed? Most of the people you encounter are cranky.  Nothing really seems ideal.

Yet you keep marching onward.  Why?  Something inside of strives to make the best of every day.

But here is something to consider.  How can we use less than perfect days for good?  Here is one idea.  Do something nice for others who are unkind.

What?  The Lord said we are to pray for our enemies.  But it actually can help us by releasing tension.

We can try smiling more and speaking positively.  We can also release everything to the Lord through prayer.

This helps us to realize we are not alone.  Our Lord is always with us.  So when you have one of those blah kind of days remember something.

You can use it as a stepping stone to build something special.  Hand in hand with your Heavenly Father everything is possible.

I close my eyes and suddenly a perfect peace fills my soul,

Today's society makes it very easy for the human heart to feel like a failure.  People are always measuring one person against another.
Have you heard the contradictory lines?  Well look at the job so and so has.  Look at the progress so and so is making in college.
So when you make mistakes you feel like a failure.  Remember you are not a failure.  You are a beloved child of God.  He has forgiven your mistakes.  Why shouldn't you forgive yourself?
Never measure yourself by others.  Measure yourself by God.  You are his precious child.  He loves you so much!

The Worry Box

Okay, now that is an interesting title.  First, consider this question.  If you could design the world's most beautiful box, what would it look like? 
You can use whatever you want: jewels, gem stones at no cost.  But it must have a hinged cover. 
Take a moment to design this in your mind now.  I think mine will be simple and plain with a latched hinge on the front.
Now, once you have done that here is the next step.  Take all of your worries, burdens, concerns and fears
and place them in that box. 
Latch the box tightly and give it to God.
You cannot take it back.  Your concerns are His now.  He will return the box with more peace, happiness and joy then you can imagine.

No one can ever dispute the power and blessing of friendship.  This is especially true when you are fortunate to find a faithful and devoted best friend.

A best friend is someone who compliments the very essence of who you are.  They accept you and honor you for the beautiful person that you are.

They are always there to encourage and inspire you through the good times and not so good times.  You are truly blessed to have them in your life.

They will listen to you, stand by you and help you to carry your burdens.

When You Are Looking For The Sunrise

Have you ever been so tired and worn out that you wonder when you'll ever see the sun again?  If you live down south that can seem so prevalent. 

Yet I am in this case talking about the ins and outs of everyday life.  As we walk along our pathways it can seem that there are always clouds around.

After all nothing is smooth even for Christians.  Yet when the clouds seem to thicken that's when the sunrise begins.

The Lord wants us to be illuminated by the light of his presence and love.

The Unknown

Have you ever gone through a dark tunnel?  It can seem a bit daunting when all of a sudden everything goes black.  Yet you are not necessarily fearful because you know that whoever is in the driving position will get you through just fine. 
We sometimes feel that way in life.  We come upon different points that can seem intimidating.  We become concerned and burdened.  Yet someone is there right by our side ready to offer comfort. 
All we have to do is realize that he has it all in his hands.  Just give it over to him.

Have you ever thought about what the most amazing gift would be?  It is something that cannot be purchased for any stated amount.  Yet it's value is worth more than the human mind can ever phantom.  It is free and is available in abundance upon asking.  Think about all of the gifts that you have ever received.  Has anything ever come close?

The most amazing and awesome gift is the precious gift of God's love and grace and salvation.  Wouldn't it be great to have such an awesome gift and hold it in your heart forever?  Please take a moment to pray this prayer.

At The End Of It All

Have you ever been in a circumstance where you just couldn't figure out the right solution?  You weighed all the pluses and the minuses.  Nothing you look at seems to be ideal.  Yet you continue to try and figure it all out.  It is at that point when you feel a tug at your heart.  The Lord wants to help you and end your pain.  You keep struggling.  But you feel the tired feeling taking over.  You let go and give it over.  Suddenly a feeling of peace fills you

The Power Of A Positive Heart

Have you ever considered what would happen if you put the wrong type of gasoline in your car?  That is something that you probably don't want to think about.  It would likely mean damage to the engine.  This is something you definitely don't want.  No one would.

So let's consider something else for a moment.  What happens when you put negative thoughts and feelings into your heart and mind.    Well remember that it is a form of darkness.  You are thinking about the worst of things. 

Darkness is not a natural part of the average human mind.  It is definitely not part of the believers life either.  We generally want to find the good.  When we have the Lord we always will have the best of him.

But when we have negative thoughts they tare away at the very essence of who we are just like the wrong gas damaging an engine.

So what is the solution?  Fill your self with everything wonderful that comes from God.  Let his word fill your heart.  Let his praises infiltrate your system. You will find your personal engine getting an awesome overhaul
