Have you ever tried to climb one of those long extension ladders to get to a certain point?  When you look at the task, it may seem impossible.  Yet, you have a desired goal that needs to be accomplished.  But, each step seems so much larger than the last.

  This is how it may seem in the journey called life.  You may have desired tasks and aspirations that fill your heart.  Yet, the steps and factors along the way seem to make it all a lost cause.

  Perhaps you've heard the terms 'not cut out for that' or 'can't do that'.  You have been discouraged by everything around you and have given up.

  Remember one thing each day.  Dreams are like beautiful balloons.  Hot air can make them soar higher.  What does this mean?  Take time to use negative things in a positive way.  Let them encourage you to work harder to reach your desired goal.

  The Lord is your awesome Pilot.  How can you ever go wrong?  He has great plans for your life and for you.  So when you get on the bottom step of that ladder, look up with confidence.  Your Father is right there giving you strength and encouraging you each step of the way.

  If you don't know the Lord, please consider making Him Lord of your life today.  Pray this prayer:  Father come in to my heart and life.  I give all that I am to you.  I will live for you and serve you.  You are my Father, my best friend my everything.  Pilot my life today.  Amen.

Thought For The Day

 A HEART THAT HAS GOD AS ITS PILOT, FAITH AS ITS COMPASS, PRAYER AS ITS LIFELINE, AND LOVE AS ITS GUIDE WILL FIND THE GREATEST PATHWAY TO A DESTINATION OF PROMISE.

Beautiful Hope

     Have you ever had the experience of dropping something that is made of glass to the floor?  Suddenly this whole and complete item is scattered everywhere in a million pieces.  We try hard to gather it all in some direction again.  But it can be challenging.

  The pathway of life in its complex nature can seem much the same way.  There can be many different pieces in many directions, and no definitive plan of promise.  We try desperately in our own imperfect nature to devise a successful plan.

  However, remember that the imperfection is there.  Whatever we set out to accomplish on our own strength will never produce true prosperity and peace.  Have you ever gotten into an airplane with no one at the helm?

  You would never try to do that.  So what do you do when you are looking for that direction and guidance?  Where can you turn for success in gathering the pieces of life and connecting them into a great plan?

  The answer is Jesus Christ.  Do you know Him as Lord of your life?  If you don't it is very easy to start.  He will come in and take those pieces and interweave them into something so breathtaking.  It will be a beautiful pathway of promise and hope.

  Simply pray this prayer:

  Lord Jesus, it is the desire of my heart to dedicate all that I am to you.  I want to live for you, serve you and love you.  Please come into my heart and life and take control.  Mend all of the pieces into something wonderful that can only come from you.  I give you my love.

Amen.

  If you prayed that prayer you are on the pathway of hope.  The Lord will come in and illuminate the way with the light of his love.  He has a great plan for you and will give you direction and purpose, as well as peace.

The Warmth of Sonshine

     Have you ever had those days where you felt so alone?  You felt like you were in a distant land, far away from everyone.  I'm sure if we really think about it, most of us have had those type of feelings in some form.

  We live in a fast paced, dark ever changing society.  Most people don't care or ever take the time to care about another soul.  For example, what do you do when you are about to enter a door and the person in front of you allows the door to slam shut.   

  How does that make you feel?  Perhaps someone says an unkind word to you because they don't like how you look.  Something like that would tear away at any gentle spirit.

  There are many factors that can reach in to the heart and destroy it.  So what do you do?  How do you empower yourself to walk along your pathway with strength and confidence?  The answer is to step into  the Sonshine.

  No you are not seeing a misspelled word.  I am not referring to traditional rays that come from the sun.  The 'Son' that I am talking about is the light of God's love and presence that we choose to live in.

  How does it work?  Simply ask the Lord to be the Father of your heart and life.  Ask Him to shine His presence and love upon you and be with you.  When you have that moment when you feel so alone and alienated, that beautiful and breathtaking light comes in.

  It begins to shine brightly and wrap you in God's perfect love.  Suddenly, you're a brand new person.  You will never feel loneliness again.

  Simply pray this prayer:

Merciful Heavenly Father:

Please come into my heart and life.  I want to live for you and serve you.  Let your light be my guiding tool and your love surround me always.
