Sometimes, I feel so burdened and conflicted when I don't know how things will be...

I don't feel like doing anything and sadly giving up on each new day

But, then Savior, Your gentleness, kindness and care quickly begin to surround me 

I suddenly stop all of my complaining and listen to what You have to say.

You remind me how much You love me and how You are always in total control....

Even though I try to work everything out on my own and fail most of the time 

Your love and grace are there working diligently and making me complete and whole 

I never have to worry because it is the greatest peace that I will find.

So I think about all of the things that I fuss over with the greatest detail....

I try as hard as I can to place all of my worries and fears behind me 

And take Your hand Jesus knowing Your anointing will be bright and prevail

There are times on the journey when those steps seem just a little difficult for me ...

And the gray clouds are covering up the sunshine more than I can bear or understand

Yet, no matter how much I try there is no solution or definite plan.

There are times on the journey when I feel sad and not like myself in any way...

I have no energy or motivation to be successful or even try 

I pray 🙏 but can't see Your anointing or power in any moments of the day 

That's when Your voice calls out to me with a grace and gentleness I can't deny.

You show me how the steps weren't so rugged or the clouds so gray in the air...

And when I felt down and alone, it really wasn't as bad as it could be 

Because at those times You weren't far away as my prayers were answered with great care

You were right there by my side with a loving embrace always ready to help me.

When The Assurance Crumbles

Sometimes I feel like I am all alone, cold and with more than I can bear..

My heart cannot feel any real strength or courage to hold onto 

I don't feel Your anointing, or Your sweet glory and great love being there 

I don't feel like I can do anything and I've failed each day through.

Lord, sometimes I reach out and call and it seems You are so far away...

It scares me that I cannot feel Your love so mightily 

It seems like everything is crumbling so quickly with each brand new day 

But, that's when a miracle and masterpiece slowly happens for me.

It says "Don't be afraid or hesitant for I've always been here with you."

"I have got my arms around you with so many great things that are in store."

Lord, thank You for teaching me as I take Your hand in all that I must do.

For when I come into Your presence every thing feels breathtaking and dear
