The Mercy Seat

     Brian looked on in horror as his childhood best friend took out his gun and aimed it at his chest.  He knew that Drew was devastated at the tragic loss of his baby boy to leukemia.  

What made it worse was that his wife walked out.  He and Mia were high school sweethearts.   But she couldn't bear the severity of his depression.  After all, she had her own grief to bear.

Brian wanted to stop his pain.  He and Drew grew up together.  They were always there for each other.  He'd been praying for him faithfully.  But there wasn't any change.

He tried reasoning with him.  But the tears only flowed more.  Drew started to press the trigger.  Brian leaped in to try and get it from him.

They struggled when it backfired.  Brian was hit in the chest.  He was unconscious.  Drew screamed in horror.

The best friend whom he adored was badly hurt or worse because of him.  He called an ambulance and got him help.

Brian was in a coma.  Drew sat with him every day praying he would be ok.  

Even Mia returned and sat with him.  

But Brian was still unconscious.  Then one day a man dressed in white scrubs came in to the room.  He looked at Brian and touched his hand.

He then looked at Drew and Mia, smiled and left.  As he left the room Brian opened his eyes.  Drew jumped up and shouted for the doctor.

Brian was going to recover.  He would need therapy.  But Drew would be there for him.

One year later, Drew and Mia were together again.

They had another son Brian Andrew.  Drew and Brian were grateful to God for His mercy and endless love.  They were also grateful for the precious angel that came to remind them of it!

The Prayer Shower

My Jesus...

Sometimes I feel truly lost and alone like I don't know where to go...

Everything looks very confusing and discouraging at its best

I look for answers and solutions but my stress just quickly grows

But no matter how much I try I cannot find peace and real happiness.

I then find out real friends are praying daily for me and for my care...

Suddenly I feel a warm, gentle feeling that I am not alone

Someone wants to carry my burdens and all the stress that I ever bear

And find the greatest, most picture perfect true peace that I have ever known.

So I realize the true power of prayer and the connection to God each day...

And I wanted to have that strength in my ❤ heart again to

My loneliness disappeared but I had something beautiful in all ways

A rugged anchor of promise for my life and foundation each day through.

Prayer is a powerful key of promise to God's heart of love and grace so grand...

He has everything in the palm of his hand and all in his control

It is a very great tool to enact his love and grace based precious plan

An instrument to move mountains and make everything complete and whole.

When My ❤ Heart Hears One Name

My Jesus...

My ❤ heart is ignited with a light of power it never had before...

A breathtaking beauty of spirit that just cannot ever be explained

It has a pure happiness and real tranquility at its rugged core

And it all comes with the mention of a true, unique and life changing name.

As my heart hears the name Jesus, it becomes quite humbled and very still...

Feeling humbled, and bestowing all that I am to Him forevermore

Desiring a closer relationship with Him and knowing His great will

I come bringing my petition for new beginnings before Heavens door.

Suddenly, I can feel something within I cannot explain taking place...

It is the feeling of being made whole, complete and perfectly brand new

Filled with wonderment, I am in your loving and caring, mighty embrace

My Jesus, your powerful name is my guiding compass my whole life through.

Mentioning one breathtaking and powerful name and there is victory...

I want that perfect name upon my life to be firmly planted and grow

And to always have you by my side for others to learn about and see

My Jesus, teach me and help me because there's so much more I want to know.

My Awesome Jesus...

When I think about the patience that you have with me...

And the compassion that's always there when I reach out

I 💘 love the great mercy that's mine without boundaries

And the beautiful forgiveness that's there without doubt.

When I think about your ❤ heart that overflows so true...

And your kindness that warms my heart to its very core

Your mighty power that's always with me each day through

Just how you work for my good every moment and more.

Even though I may not see it all with great surprise...

You give me strength, wisdom, and faith to see perfectly

Suddenly, there's something so precious that's revealed to me

Sometimes I feel so weak like I'm falling to the ground...

My heart and spirit have been crushed with pain to the core

I feel like I have no strength left to help me rebound

So I just don't want to try and get up any more.

But your heart is aching so to see my agony...

You want to create something so beautiful and new

You send a covering of your love all around me

To help me be successful in everything I do.

You send me strength like an anchor in your grace so true...

When I need a refresher I simply look to you
